Frantoio (Olea europaea ‘Frantoio’ (Olive))

A classic Italian olive cultivar prized for producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil with a fruity, aromatic flavour and balanced bitterness. Frantoio is productive, adaptable, and widely used both as a main cultivar and as a pollinator for other olives. Performs best in full sun with well-drained soil and is drought tolerant once established. Partially self-fertile (excellent pollinator for other olive varieties; improved yields with cross-pollination).
